The scholarships are through the Township Officials of Illinois. Applicants must be graduating seniors from an Illinois High School with a grade point average of "B" or higher. Each applicant must have demonstrated an active interest in school activities, which may include an interest in local government and community service.

Students are required to submit a 500 word essay on "The Role of Local Government in Today's Society and in the Future". Applications are available at the Naperville Township Office, 139 Water St. or call Carol Bertulis at (630-355-1558).
