Private property in unincorporated Naperville Township must be maintained by its owner. By law (Illinois State Law, Chapter 139:126.16), it must be mowed to a reasonable height at least twice a year and unsightly trash and debris must be removed. If you know who an absentee owner is, please advise him/her of this law. If private property isn't properly maintained, the property will be mowed and the property owner will be billed for the services.
